In this series, I photograph myself with a life-size replica that I made of my child self. I created her head and body using fabric and wire. For the face, I sculpted and cast in latex four different facial expressions. The combination of these materials creates a range of features; some are rendered naturalistically, while others are conveyed with blunt, exposed stitching. Her wig, clothes, and a range of life-like poses help to project an uncanny presence of a young girl, endowing her with a persona which challenges the viewer to question what is real.
